Diesel Exhaust Parts
Diesel Exhaust Parts will lower exhaust gas temperatures
by up to as much as 300 degrees Fahrenheit, while providing the quickest
spool up time for your vehicles turbo charger. They will increase your
fuel economy significantly. Individual driving styles vary, but some
people are reporting between 3-5 miles per gallon gained per new exhaust.
Horsepower and torque gains vary between each vehicle make and model,
but if you have or are planning to do any computer or injector modifications
to your vehicle, Diesel Exhaust Parts will be a must have accessory
to your diesel performance needs. Heavy duty turbo machine flares and
machined flanges and fully aluminized mandrel bent tubing, to all-welded
steel mufflers are just some of the features found on these mufflers.
Two basic types are common in Diesel Exhaust Parts: 409 grade stainless
steel which contain certain carbon metal alloys to make it easier to
manipulate and bend, and will surface rust and corrode under normal
use. 304 grade stainless steel which contains chromium and nickel alloys
to make it a stronger, denser material than 409 grade. 304 stainless
steel tends to fatigue after forming into bends and shapes due mainly
to its denser composition. On top of 304 being a fickle material to
work with, its cost can be very prohibitive to the consumer. Expect
not to gain much bang from your buck. Polished stainless steel systems
(sometimes made from 409 grade) might look flashy out of the box, but
let it get wet under your truck and what do you know, the system will
show rust and corrosion through that once-beautiful finish.
